Day 1 : Arrive in Fez
At the terminal keep your eyes open for
the Camel Ride in Merzouga sign, as we pick you up from the airport
and take
you to our hotel. Overnight in Fez.
Day 2 : Fez Sightseeing – Volubilis – Meknes
Today, we’ll explore the oldest
imperial city of Morocco with more than 10.000 tiny streets offering
the largest “medina”
(old city) and souks in the world and visit
Bab Boujloud Gate, Bou Inania Medersa, Moulay Idriss Mausoleum,
Andalusian, Quaraouiyine Mosque, Najjarine Square, Spices Market,
Atarine Medersa, the surroundings of Karaouine Medina and Mellah.
We will drive toward Meknes via Volubilis, the
well preserved Roman empire dating to 225BC, you will see some
mosaics that
are still in very good shape before continuing
on to your Hotel in Meknes. Overnight in Meknes.
Day 3 : Meknes - Rabat
In Meknes, the Ismaili capital of
Morocco, you will see the fascinating gate Bab Mansour built by the
sultan My Ismail; the granary and the Sahrij Souani used for
irrigation and plantation. We depart for Rabat, set in a rich,
amber-coloured landscape combining the ancient history with the
modern Moroccan culture. After the orientation tour around the Royal
Palace, Chellah Ruins, Hassan Tower, Mohamed V Mausoleum and the
Oudayas Gardens. Overnight in Rabat.
Day 4 : Rabat – Casablanca
After breakfast, we’ll depart for Casablanca, and later this
afternoon, We will tour Casablanca. Your half day sightseeing
includes the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque, currently the second
largest Mosque in the world and the beautiful Corniche seaside.
Take
a moment to catch your breath at the end of your Moroccan adventure
to admire the serenity of the Atlantic Ocean. Continue on a short
drive through the residential areas of Casablanca to the city center
to visit the Mohamed V Square, the Habous quarter and the Notre Dame
de Lourdes Cathedral. Overnight in Casablanca.
Day 5 : Casablanca – Marrakech
Today we’ll first visit the United Nations Square, the Anfa
Residential Quarter and the impressive Mosque of Hassan II
in
Casablanca and depart for Marrakech before noon. In the afternoon
we’ll explore the famous Djemaa el Fna
Square in Marrakech.
Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 6 : Marrakech Sightseeing – Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a morning tour of the city. Visit the Saadian
Tombs, dating back to the 16th century, where Saadian royalty found
their final resting place. Your tour also includes the Koutoubia
Minaret, the beautiful Bahia Palace, as well as the opportunity to
shop for Moroccan spices and herbs. Finally, end the tour by walking
through the medina, getting a chance to admire all of the different
artisans performing their craft before arriving at the Jaama El Fna
Square. Spend the afternoon at leisure or choose
to take the
optional tour where you will have a chance to relax eat a
traditional lunch and watch couscous being made as well
as visiting
the Majorelle Gardens and the Marrakesh Museum. |
