Day 1 : Fes to Merzouga desert (Erg Chebbi)
Today we drive south across the Middle
Atlas via Ifrane, Azrou , where we can watch apes in local forest,
Midelt,Errachidia , fascinating Ziz valley , fossil city of Erfoud
and traditional city of Rissani. We make a stop for lunch around
Midelt and then we arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes where
we take camel ride to the sands of the Sahara. Camel trek will take
for around 1.5hrs into the deep desert dunes and we will sleep under
the stars in a nomad-tented camp.
Day 2 : Merzouga (Erg Chebbi) to Todra Gorges
We wake up early to watch amazing
sunrise over the dunes. Then we ride camels back to hotel in
Merzouga for breakfast
and shower. We will visit Khamlia village to
listen some Gnawa music and then we depart for Todra Gorge & Tinghir.
We will visit amazing Todra Gorges -the crystal clear river emerging
from the deep ochre and pink rock formations
offer a dramatic
landscape and great photographic opportunities.
Day 3 : Todra Gorges - Fes
From Todra gorges we will drive up through the Berber villages of
Tamtatoucht and Ait Hani. We will stop for tea and lunch
with the
local people. Then we follow our way in beautiful scenery until we
arrive to Midelt. We will cross the Atlas Mountains,
and we get back
to Fez where our trip finish. |
