Day 1 : Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Erfoud -
Merzouga
After breakfast we will depart to
Merzouga. We pass through the Middle Atlas region and Ifrane,which
is called the ‘Switzerland’
of Morocco. Then we will visit cedar
forests of Azrou where we can stop to hand-feed local monkeys. We
will continue to Midelt where we will stop for lunch.Then we follow
the Ziz River through the valley and we stop to see the Ziz Gorges
on our way
to Merzouga. We arrive to the desert
hotel and we stay here overnight.
Day 2 : Merzouga - Erg Chebbi - Merzouga
Today you will explore the desert area Erg Chebbi desert dunes. We
will will make a circuit of the desert dunes where you will have the opportunity to
see the the nomad's way of life.Then we will visit the ‘black
village’ - Khamlia to meet and listening the Gnawa musicians. We
will have a traditional Berber pizza lunch in city of Rissani and in
the afternoon we will ride our camels
to see the sunset over
the dunes and we will spend the night in the desert camp. We will
enjoy traditional tagine dinner,
and delicious mint
tea.We will listen to Berber music while watching the stars in the
amazing
Sahara desert.
Day 3 : Erg Chebbi - Rissani - Todra Gorges
After early breakfast we ride camels back to the hotel. We leave the
Sahara desert Erg Chebbi and we drive off-road
drive across the hamada (black Desert) to get
to the Sahara town of Rissani where we will visit local market.
Afterwards,
we head north to Erfoud which is known for the
fossils. Here we will stop to visit a fossil workshop before we
continue
to the Todra canyons, known for rock climbing,
where you can hike. Then we spend a night in a local hotel.
Day 4 : Todra Gorges - Dades Valley - Skoura -
Ouarzazate
After breakfast in the hotel, we will begin our journey along the
road of 1000 Kasbahs. We pass through Dades valley
and mountainous area where we pass many Berber
villages. You will be impressed by landscapes of the colourful rose
valley before we reach Skoura palm grove. Then we reach Ouarzazate
where we stay for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 : Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech
After breakfast we will visit Taourirt
Kasbah and Ait Benhaddou to visit the World Heritage Site. Then we
will visit traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and the
Kasbah el Glaoui and we will have lunch in a local restaurant in
Telouet before descending the Tizi-n-Tichka to Marrakech. |
